1. Understand users
Problem statement
With globalisation it became difficult to understand the impact of our consumption when what we buy was produced on another continent. Via a quick barcode scan, KnowScan informs consumers about the impact of the product they are about to buy has on their health, others’ wellbeing, and the environment.
Differentiation
Other applications allow you to scan items. KnowScan stands out from its competitors with three characteristics. Some apps presents some of these but none present them all.

Dead simple: Slimming down user flow by adapting 2 competitor’s patterns.
What I learned : Importance of constantly looking out for, and maintaining a library of best-in-class patterns and flows.
